I’m Dayana, the founder of Purna Yoga. My journey with yoga began in 2012, and it soon became more than a practice — it became a way of being. In 2018, I completed my first teacher training in Hatha yoga with the thoughtful guidance of Ellie Ramsby. Since then, I’ve been lucky to learn from a number of generous teachers, including the deeply grounding Paula Andreewitch, who mentored me with such care, and the wise and wonderful Anna Ashby, whose restorative training in 2022 left a lasting imprint.
Most of my teaching and practice unfolded in London, where I spent many years immersed in a rich and diverse yoga community — learning, growing, and finding my voice through movement and stillness.
At the end of last year, I moved to Lisbon with my husband Alexander and our baby girl Mira, following a long-held dream to live closer to the rhythms of nature — with more space, more slowness, and more presence. Creating a studio has lived in my heart for as long as I can remember, and I feel so grateful to be building this space now, with intention and love.
One of my greatest inspirations is also one of my closest friends — Isobel Palmer, founder of LIM Studio in London. Her artistry, integrity, and the way she holds space continue to deeply influence the way I teach and share.
And this space would not be what it is without the unwavering love of the women who have walked beside me — my soul sisters Tine Sørensen, Elaine Colclough, Simona Yovcheva, Lili Ivanova, and Sara Datsova. You’ve held me, lifted me, inspired me, and believed in me through every season. This place is for you, too.
Whether you're just beginning or returning to your mat once more, you're wholeheartedly welcome here.
